Energy is Everything
It’s true, everything really is a collection of buzzing atoms which blows my mind on a daily basis.
I’ve been thinking lately that the energy we put into something is the energy we’ll likely get out of it. And we all know we can feel bad vibes versus good vibes.
It’s nice to think we can do all the things with our vision - launch the podcast, write a blog post a day, show up in a Facebook Group, create the course, post on Instagram...the list goes on. But the truth is we only have so much up-beat, positive energy to put into what we’re doing and creating.
Reality check, we are NOT in business to wear ourselves out doing it all. We’re doing this to serve others from our hearts and doing that requires we do it well, not half-assed. We gotta put our whole-ass into what we’re focused on.
My note this month is encouragement to consider what you’re focused on right now and make sure you’re not overwhelming yourself unintentionally by trying to do too many things.
My advice? Pick 2-3 things you want to focus on per-quarter and do them really well. Then at the end of the quarter, consider how it went and celebrate your commitment and success.
What does this look like in action?
If you want to focus on growing your engagement and creating content then… create one video every [choose an interval] so you can post it to YouTube, send an email to your list about it and post about it on social media. That’s 3 things total.
What are the results after a month? How about three months? Are you getting more views? Is there more engagement after your consistency? No matter what the results are, make sure you celebrate yourself for showing up.
It’s important to stay focused on why you’re doing things this way and keeping yourself inspired during the creative process because the energy you put in will be felt on the receiving end. Be sure that what you choose feels exciting and aligned with your goals.
